After retiring the last of our flock in 2014, we have been eagerly awaiting our new chickens, and they have just arrived at the Rostrata Garden! We now have 10 new girls, two of each of the following breeds:
- Ancona
- Red Ancona
- White Leghorn
- Rhode Island Red
- Buff Sussex

We are still in need of volunteers to look after the chickens (on weekends and school holidays primarily). Don’t worry, they don’t come home for a sleep over! You get a special access pass to the SAKG to collect the eggs & ensure our feathered friends have plenty of food & water. Old & new volunteers are welcome and full training will be given!
